Dream

Dreaming a little wonderful delightful dream

Keeps alive the child in you
Dreams are such joy
Yet even in our dreams we have become so practical...so constrained
As though we are too scared to dream

If our dreams were unconstrained ...what an awesome world it would be!
Dream for those who've given up...For those who never tried

Breathe...

'Breathe'  Inspired by - http://zenhabits.net/breathe/

Coz it is...

Simple, effective, essential and extremely relaxing !
Works a 100% when you want to banish an annoying though that won't just go away
Simply diffuse it with a deep breath innnnn and outttttttttt.....

Need I say more :)

5 Mins

Each Day...

I spend 8 hours (sometimes even more) at work
Another 8 asleep
An hour talking to my friends and family
A couple more hours with my spouse
If i count the mins spent talking to the vegetable vendor, the maid, fighting with the auto driver, arguing with the call centre executive - that would add up to another hour and a half
Infront of the TV - one more
The rest doing household chores or thinking about all the unaccomplished tasks I need to do

Why is it difficult to take out five mins for myself.
someone once told me Time = f (interest)

Balance

Constantly trying to balance

Between the state of 'being' and the state of 'doing'
Between what I like to do and what I must
Between how I want to be, who I am and who I am expected to be
Between work and play
Between fun and responsibility
Between indulging in this moment and worrying about the future
(why does future have a ring of worry to it always - food for my thought)
Between advancing my career and feeling fulfilled within myself
Between the accolades that come from outside and the simple contentment that fills me within
Between the quest for money and the quest for time

The balance is what gives a sense of control.

As with food, so with life - the balance of ingredients is what makes it delicious
A little more of this ...a little less of that and we've spoilt it completely

Happiness is a decision not a reaction

A decision starts from the inside
A reaction gets sparked from the outside

For the decision I do not depend
On anything or anyone
For the reaction I need to wait
For the reaction I build expectation

The decision can be anytime...anywhere
The decision can be ALWAYS
The reaction involves a time lag
And sometimes the time lag is painfully long

Sometimes it can take forever

But I dont want to wait forever
I want to be forever happy
